What We Do

The Douglas County Community Emergency & Natural Disaster Recovery Group works to prepare for, prevent, respond to, and recover from community emergencies and natural disasters. We walk with survivors to guide them and share the power of community.
Currently we are continuing flood relief efforts within Douglas County Nebraska. Many of our residents still have not returned to their homes after the devastating floods in 2019. Our flood relief work relies on generous individuals and groups in our community. We would be most grateful if you would consider donating to our cause.

Interesting Info

Did you know we still have over 30 families not back in their home after the 2019 flood.
There is still debris all over the King Lake area from the flood that volunteers have been coming out and cleaning up.
At any one time 2 to 200 volunteers can be found working on flood recovery in Douglas County.
