What We Do
Breaking the Cycle of Sexual Trauma strives to reduce the incidence and secrecy of child sexual trauma by providing peer guided, self-help groups for adult survivors, their families, and friends, and rehabilitated offenders. This includes adults abused as children, victims of human trafficking, spouses, parents, adolescents, siblings and friends as well as rehabilitated offenders after a thorough vetting process.
Breaking the Cycle began as Parents United Against Child Sexual Abuse in Nebraska in 1981. We work with many organizations around the Midwest to provide a safe, understanding and encouraging environment to help facilitate healing from sexual trauma.
Face-to-face interviews are completed with a group facilitator to assure:
• Proper placement into your needs based subgroup
• A familiar face when attending group for the first time
