Mini Earth Day Omaha

A pared-down "Mini Earth Day Omaha" celebration will take place in Elmwood Park on Saturday, April 17 from 11am-3pm with a variety of safe and socially-distanced activities. Throughout the afternoon attendees can join Yoga Rocks the Park with Lora McCarville, a park clean up organized by Keep Omaha Beautiful, a tree planting demonstration, and a community "Hard to Recycle" drive-thru collection with drop offs for compost, electronics, metal, EPS foam, and more! Check the website for details and updates!

New this year, Earth Day Omaha and Sarpy County Earth Day are teaming up to present a digital Nebraska Earth Day Passport—a month-long series of activities and in-app “Passport Challenges” that will take place from April 15–May 15. Activities will include individual, on-demand, on-site, and Zoom style formats and will feature local nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations that care deeply about protecting and preserving our environment. Up to 10,000 participants from Douglas & Sarpy County and beyond will be able to visit virtual Exhibitor "booths" for free by selecting exhibitor Challenges and competing for daily points and prizes.

Through the Earth Day Omaha and Green Bellevue websites, starting April 5th, attendees will go on-line to register for free on the Nebraska Earth Day Passport platform. Participants who register between April 5–14 will receive 100 bonus points.
