The annual Mercy Heritage Awards honor individuals from southwest Iowa for their professional and personal contributions to the community in the following categories: Arts & Humanities, Business, Education, and Health & Human Services. The Heritage Awards were created to celebrate and pay homage to those who have enriched the community and established a legacy on which future Heritage Award honorees can build. The event, now in its 36th year, will be hosted by CHI Health Foundation and CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs on March 23, 2019, at the Mid-America Center, 1 Arena Way, in Council Bluffs. The proceeds from the event support educational and professional development opportunities for Mercy Council Bluffs Hospital employees.
