Mentors are prepared to be a friend to Young Adults and demonstrate consistent, dependable, trustworthy, accepting, honest and respectful behavior.
Mentors maintain a steady presence in the lives of the Young Adults and in community efforts that strive to encourage others toward participation in volunteer efforts. Mentors value the diverse racial, economic, cultural, and religious traits of their mentees. Mentors actively seek out shared opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of their mentees.
We are looking for YOU! Join us in one of our monthly training sessions and begin mentoring right away. We accept Individuals or couples as mentors. Mentoring/Mentee session are a minimum of once a month but you can certainly meet with your mentee more if you like. Mentors are encouraged and welcome to join us in our Skill 4 Life sessions with their mentee.Mentees are young adults between the ages of 18-26 and have transitioned out of foster care and our trying to become successful, independent, compassionate and caring adults.
