- Computer work (data entry, tracking information, scanning)

- Curatorial work (plant records, label production, label maintenance)

- Education assistance (set-up and clean-up of programs and events, supply preparation, assistance with
crafts, other needs)

- Exhibit docent (provide interpretation of an exhibit)

- Garden tour guide (for adult and children's tours)

- Gift Shop (wrapping purchases, dusting, decorating for the holidays)

- Indoor horticulture (propagation, watering, transplanting)

- Library volunteer (monitor the horticultural library)

- Model railroad garden engineer (run trains, clean tracks, assist visitors) [May through October only]

- Office assistant (labeling, mailing, filing)

- Outdoor horticulture (weeding, mulching, pruning, deadheading)

- Outreach events (promote the garden to event guests)

- Photography (capture the beauty of the garden through the camera)

- Speaker's Bureau (give presentations on the garden at events)

- Wildlife Tree (create ornaments for the birds to eat in the winter)
