Information and Data Specialist - Paid Position

Summary: As the Information and Data Specialist at Learning for ALL (LFA), you will work with and assist the leadership team in managing data, information, and technology support. You will gain valuable experience working in an educational non-profit, covering every aspect of the information and data cycle, including but not limited to organizing demographic data, maintaining data records and information, privacy and confidentiality protection, and inventorying information.

About Learning For ALL: Voted one of Omaha’s Rising Nonprofits by SHARE Omaha and the Greater Omaha Chamber Young Professionals, LFA is a non-profit that assists adult learners to acquire the literacy and language skills they need to achieve life goals. We offer small group classes, one-on-one tutoring, and online instruction to remove obstacles adult learners often experience. Our programs include ESL/ELL, ABE, GED, life skills, job readiness, and career preparedness. Our services are free to residents, immigrants, and refugees 18 or older. Essential Responsibilities:
* Maintain the LFA database that houses all student assessment data
* Schedule and conduct pre and post student assessments for all ESL, ABE, and GED students
* Proctor and manage student assessments
* Organize student assessment records
* Maintain the LFA database that houses all student demographic information
* Assess LFA’s current database and assist in the implementation of an improved database 
* Assist the LFA leadership team in gathering and analyzing student data and testing data
* Provide the Executive Director with student data and demographic data as needed to help complete reporting, fundraising, and grant-writing efforts
* Conduct a quarterly review of student attendance and post-assessment data to inform program evaluation at LFA and help identify areas of improvement
* Communicate routinely with LFA’s BEST Plus administrator
* Assist the LFA leadership team to identify potential class locations based on demographic data
* Work with the LFA leadership team to compile and analyze performance information
* Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: MS Office including Excel, Google Docs, a technical, logical thought process, problem-solving skills, ability and willingness to learn new technology, ability and willingness to prioritize and delegate, ability and willingness to meet deadlines

Education and Experience:
* BA/BS degree preferred
* IT support background or previous experience preferred

Required Certifications, Training, or Background Check Requirements:
* Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
* A state background check may be required

Work Hours:
* Flexible
* Monday – Thursday as scheduled. Some Fridays.
