Help Working Poor Families In Our Community - 1,000 Volunteers Wanted to Drop Off Most-Needed Items for Our Drive

Nebraskans for Solar and Heartland Hope Mission are partnering on the installation of a solar energy system on their building at 2021 U Street to help reduce their energy bills for the next 25 years, money they can use for their programs.

Nebraskans for Solar is raising funds for this new Green Watts for Good project through Giving Tuesday, a metro-wide fundraising campaign sponsored by SHARE Omaha. Our goal is to raise $10,000, and we will match individual donations up to a total of $10,000.

1,000 Volunteers Wanted: For Giving Tuesday’s 24 Hours of Impact, our nonprofits are co-hosting a drive. We seek 1,000 volunteers to drop off one or more most-needed items.

Most Needed Items:
Clothing: gently used coats (all sizes) baby and kids clothing
Hygiene items: shampoo, body wash, baby diapers (size 3-5), toilet paper
Christmas: Brand new toys

When: Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 2 pm to 6 pm

Where to drop off: Heartland Hope Mission, 2021 U Street (parking lot on the north side of the building). Refreshments provided.
