Disaster Services is filled with many opportunities for you to find your right fit, bellow is a few examples: Preparedness • Home Fire Campaign: Educating communities on fire safety and installing fire alarms to reduce the rates of fire deaths in the US • Pillowcase Projects: Teaching children on different hazards (Fires, tornadoes, hurricanes) and how to cope Response • Disaster Action Team: Did you know that the number 1 disaster in the US is house fires? Join our DAT Teams to assist families when they're at their lowest • Disaster Response: You can train and specialize to respond to local and national disasters • Shelter volunteers: assist in setting up and running shelters for those who have no place go Recovery: • Casework- help navigate the world of needs and matching assistance to those who are facing the unimaginable Workforce and Administrative • Lead positions: If you love working with people, technology and you love working to transform others into leaders Time commitment varies depending on the role
