Social Media / Digital Production / Editorial Interns

The Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards welcomes interns in spring, summer, and fall semesters of the academic year.

Our priority is to fill the social media coordinator internship for the summer and/or fall. We strive to make the internships educational and personally rewarding through our board's volunteer service to local arts, music, and performing arts communities. Three possible internship tracks:

1. Social media coordination internship: Coordinating and managing a social media campaign to congratulate winners of the recent OEAA award show (with a campaign to encourage open voting for the OEA-Awards. Requirements: outreach to winners to request photo permissions, internet/computer access. Platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

2. Digital production internship: Producing OEAA-related content as podcasts, videos, articles, and/or, assisting with our annual summer showcase event. Project to be determined by the intern.

3. Editorial research internship: Researching local newsmedia archives, backing up archival data, and presenting documentation publicly via OEAA website. Internship duration: Flexible.

Estimated time investment: 40 hours over the course of a semester.

Compensation: Unpaid/volunteer (with $250 honorarium upon completion).
