Delay the Disease training

Parkinson's Nebraska believes providing education is the strongest tool in advocating for the Parkinson's community. We know that the professionals who work directly with Parkinson's patients each day have an incredible power to make an impact, and we believe in the community.

To show our commitment to the professional Parkinson's community, we are bringing a Delay the Disease exercise program training to Nebraska! Delay the Disease is an evidenced-based fitness program for people living with Parkinson's disease. The program is designed to empower participants by optimizing their physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms.

This training will be offered to licensed PT, OT, PTA, COTA, RN, AT, Exercise Physiologist, and exercise professionals (ACE, ACSM, NCSA, ISSA) at no cost. All attendees will be provided with registration costs, all meals throughout the event, special dinner presentation by our guest speaker, one night stay in hotel, and a $25-$75 mileage stipend.

We are thrilled that we were awarded a community grant from the Parkinson's Foundation for the training. It gives us confidence that the Foundation believes in our vision for the Parkinson's community and supports the Delay the Disease training.
