Clean Waters Challenge

As part of KOB’s Only Rain Down the Storm Drain program, the Clean Waters Challenge involves giving a little TLC to the storm drain inlets around your neighborhood and the greater community. Our Volun-Thursday goal for Do Good Days is to recruit 15 Volunteer Groups to sign up. Join us for the challenge!

In order to help prevent stormwater pollution, we coordinate volunteer groups to clean up debris/litter around storm inlets and place “no dumping / leads to waterways” decals on the storm drains. Volunteers also distribute educational door hangers to residents living near the marked storm drains about ways to prevent water pollution and ensure only rain goes down the storm drain. This project can accommodate any size, but it is recommended to split into smaller groups of 3-6 people, with at least one adult per group. Timing is also flexible to the group's preferences.

If your volunteer group is interested in taking part in the Clean Waters Challenge, please sign up!
