A fast-paced, fun week of establishing teams, learning the way around the kitchen, using appliances safely and independently (and eating our creations, of course!). Students are taught everything from sanitation and safety, cutting techniques and tools, use of various appliances, the why's and wherefore's of reading and following recipes and finally, competing in a team event creating something wonderful with "mystery" ingredients. On Day 5, the morning will consist of teams getting ready to compete and present to a panel of judges (Sorry, no parent judges allowed, but parents can watch the competition) Prizes awarded to all. Campers receive a team apron, customized oven mitts, program prizes and a boxed lunch (if we didn't create a better one in class!) Don’t forget the great fun and friends! This is a week long program, running from July 22-26, from 9AM to Noon daily.
