Centro Latino Learning Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House

Centro Latino of Iowa has doubled its physical footprint by leasing the 1,728 SF vacant suite right next to its current main office (Suite 40), where socially-distance training workshops can be performed in person post-pandemic. Besides having a great spacious training room with removable classroom tables and cushioned chairs, portable laptop computers and wireless printing, whiteboard and video projector, it also includes its own unisex private bathroom, a kitchenette area with a refrigerator, coffee break, water station and microwave for trainers and students to use. The expansion also includes a volunteer workstation and two offices dedicated to our new economic development initiatives: (1) Workforce Development with the support of RISE Americorps and (2) Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship with the support of MLCDC. The Omni Management added a glass door connecting the current office to the training center and new offices.

All of our partner organizations can also reserve the room for community presentations and capacity trainings when reaching out to the Latino community in Council Bluffs and Southwest Iowa.
