Bereavement Support Group Facilitators

The Collective for Hope offers peer grief support by utilizing only the most passionate, caring, trained volunteer facilitators. Group members participate in age-appropriate activities to process emotions, enhance coping skills, and build hope and support.

Support group facilitators form a key group of volunteers at The Collective for Hope and know how to have fun while supporting grieving families. In order to become a group facilitator, all volunteers must first complete our 20-hour Grief Facilitator Training, a comprehensive training that prepares adults to lead grief support groups and includes a training manual and Grief’s Journey curriculum manual. Continuing education contact hours are awarded upon completion. A background check is also required.

Groups occur throughout the year with various time commitments.

**Bereavement support groups are currently offered virtually via Zoom. The same training requirements apply.**
