Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital was founded in 1886 by the Women's Christian Association. These pioneering women opened the hospital as a five - room cottage in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Today, the role of the volunteer has become a vital part of the entire Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital campus. Jennie Volunteers have opportunities to learn new skills, make friends and gain the individual satisfaction that comes from providing support.
At Methodist Jennie Edmundson we value our volunteers. Volunteers serve in the hospital by providing support that supplements the hospital services. Volunteers add to the quality of the services we provide for our patients, their families and the community. Areas we currently host volunteers are:

- Information Desk Greeters
