The whole Omaha/Council Bluffs metro is engaged in an important dialogue about race, social justice and violence. This is the time to listen and the time to act: with your voice, your time and your gifts. The purpose of is to offer ways to come together and support the causes that compel you to do something. We all can use our resources to be part of the solution. A great place to start is here, at, with 400+ nonprofits that strengthen our community. The causes highlighted below are doing important work: donate, volunteer or provide the items they need to work toward a better metro.

Black and Pink is a prison abolitionist organization dedicated to dismantling the criminal punishment system and the harms caused to LGBTQ+ people and people living with HIV/AIDS. Any donations made to their National Bail Fund from Nebraska donors will be kept within the state.

Boys Town is committed to the ideals of tolerance, respect, equality and fairness. First Responders Foundation's mission is to serve and honor our first responders and their families, build appreciation and respect for their work, and enhance public safety.

Free Weights & Freedom provides a holistic group fitness and wellness program specifically designed to help first responders, veterans, and their family members recognize, address and overcome issues related to their physical and emotional wellbeing due to occupational stress.

The Girls Inc. of Omaha is seeking to fund a new program, African American Teen Leadership, to provide a safe space for girls to talk with peers who identify with their lived experiences. The goal is for girls in this group to organize thoughts and relieve stress, and serve as leaders and change agents.

The Great Plains Black History Museum is the only museum in Nebraska whose sole focus is the rich history of African Americans. The mission of GPBHM is to preserve, celebrate, and educate all people on the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout America.

PACE provides free athletic and education programming to inner-city youth and pairs law enforcement and community volunteers in team sports activities.
